Order Flowers Sooner Than Later!
The holiday seasons are near! This means centerpieces and arrangements to match the pumpkin spice lattes and Christmas Trees. Amazingly, these seasons happen to be the busiest time of the year for every flower shop. So if you are considering sending flowers to your significant other, friends, or relatives - you should always remember to give your local florist some time to make your order. You should place an order at least a day before the delivery or pick-up date.
You may be asking why? So, we’ll tell you. Remember, the sooner you order, the florist will prioritize your order and guarantee the choice of flowers you desire. During busy times, flowers come and go, and so may your favorite flowers for any arrangement. Florists will have plenty of stock around this time, but many receive plenty of orders. This can lead to work capacity and cap out space for flower storage.
Ordering sooner is important. Same-day deliveries may not yield all the results you would like. For instance, if you wanted white roses in your arrangement, but the florist sold all white roses during the beginning of the day. Now, your options would be limited. When options are limited for same-day deliveries you have two choices. You may pick alternative flowers known as 'substituting' or pick a delivery date for the next day. We are florists who have been working in the floral industry for over 25 years. It is very common and even a work practice to substitute flowers if they are not in stock. Most times, the flowers are very identical. It is extremely hard to tell if what is ordered is not what is received because often times the flowers are beautiful! Substituting is not a bad thing. But if there are specific flowers desired it is always best to call ahead to make sure they are in stock.
By calling at the very least a day early, you can ensure that all of your floral needs will be taken care of. Most people aren’t familiar with calling ahead of time for flower orders. And the majority of people actually have an amazing experience with same-day deliveries. Especially for florists who keep plenty of flowers in stock.
Much of the time amazing experiences occur when they choose the option of the florist to design an arrangement based on the occasion. This type of order would be called a “Designer’s Choice”. The florist would know what flowers are in stock and what will work best with the available flowers. Most websites populate every type of floral arrangement on their website. So, naturally, not all flowers will be available. Some flowers are only available under special order like peonies and orchids. But, if you leave arrangement up to a talented designer, much is possible. Creativity often yields a style that's more luxurious and elegant than an arrangement taken from a website!
There is no need to panic if you cannot order a bit before the recommended time, or if you forget. If your flower choice is not available for same-day delivery. Most flowers will certainly be available for the next day. Most florists pick-up and receive fresh flowers daily. The seasons are here - place a new order with all the new information you know!
